Verecan Funds Behavioural Finance Research Chair at University of Toronto
Let’s face it: there’s a lot of noise in financial services. We’d rather add something useful.
That’s why Verecan has funded a research chair for Dr. Lisa Kramer, Professor of Finance at the University of Toronto. As the new Verecan Chair in Behavioural Finance, she’ll be digging into the ways people actually think about money: what drives our decisions, what gets in our way, and how we can do better. Dr. Kramer’s existing research into investor behaviour is fascinating (to us, anyway) and if you’d like to learn more about this initiative, keep scrolling for a recent episode of our Barenaked Money podcast where she joined Colin to discuss her work.
It’s one more way we’re challenging the status quo and making room for financial advice that’s grounded in reality, not sales quotas.
